In the second of our series of Deaf filmmaking masterclasses, Deaf filmmaker Sofya Gollan will talk through the techniques and skills needed to produce commercial and compelling Deaf stories on screen.

About the presenter

Multi-disciplinary artist, writer and director Sofya Gollan is an award-winning filmmaker and a graduate from both NIDA and AFTRS. As an actor she has worked with the Sydney Theatre Company, the National Theatre of the Deaf USA and is best known for being one of Play School's longest running guests, normalising Disability before it was recognised as essential representation.

She is currently the Authorial (Screen Director) for the board of Screen Rights and is serving on the Sydney Festival Access Advisory Committee.
