We are thrilled to announce that Joanna Aguis OAM, our esteemed Deaf First Nations Producer at FLOW Festival, has been recognized as the Deaf LGBTIQA+ Person of the Year at the South Australia NAIDOC Awards. We couldn’t be prouder of Joanna and her outstanding contributions to the First Nations and LGBTQIA+ communities.

Joanna played a significant role in WorldPride, serving on the First Nations Advisory Committee and facilitating the impactful Deadly Deaf Queer Panel. Her dedication and commitment to promoting inclusivity and representation have not gone unnoticed.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Joanna on this well-deserved award. Her tireless efforts, along with the support of Adam, our Elders, partner, family, friends, and community, have made this achievement possible. We are grateful for the inspiration she brings to FLOW Festival.
